SOLVANG, CA (Feb. 22, 2008) – Pedro’s is excited to announce a clean start to the racing season in California this week.  Even while rain and mixed conditions have been the rule at this year’s Tour of California, Pedro’s sponsored teams have risen to the top, taking the gold leaders jersey and winning the inaugural women’s criterium on Monday.

 Team Slipstream Chipotle stormed into California with four riders in the top 10 on Sunday’s prologue.  On Monday, after a good cleaning and some TLC from one of our favorite mechanics, Damieon Schanks, the team’s newest fast-man Tyler Farrar grabbed the gold leader’s jersey. 

On the same day our favorite green team, Team TIBCO, cleaned up in Santa Rosa during the inaugural women’s criterium.  Brooke Miller stole the show from a stacked field of challengers.
